A Hull-based music artist who featured in BBC Radio One’s Big Weekend is set to perform in one of Kingswood Parks’ Summer events on the Village Green.
Jack Conman, who has released a UK-wide album, will perform at the Kingswood Parks Village Green, with magician Rich Reynolds and saxophone player Matthew Smith performing on other weeks.
The events have been organised on the back of previous summer events held at Kingswood Parks. This year’s events are aimed at celebrating Hull’s UK City of Culture status, as well as providing additional activities for the residents of Kingswood.
The events will be held on Friday, July 28th, Friday, August 11th and Friday, August 25th from 4-7pm, with Kingswood residents of all ages invited to attend. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic baskets and blankets for the Kingswood Summer Sesh, with prosecco and gelato also available on the days, as well as face painting for children.
Jack Conman, who will be kicking off the events on July 28th, said: “I’m excited to celebrate The City of Culture by performing at the Kingswood Parks Summer Sesh launch event, I love the city and it’s an honour to take part”
A spokesperson for Kingswood Parks Development Company said: “We’re delighted to be able to host some Summer evening events which will provide a great atmosphere for Kingswood residents. These events are part of our commitment to provide something extra for our residents and enhance the strong community spirit here further.
“The Village Green continues to be a popular spot for Kingswood families to visit and relax with the local Village Centre shops just a walk away from their doorstep.”
Rich Reynolds will perform on August 11th, with Matthew Smith performing on August 25th. The event is free to attend for all families.
