Football’s coming home It’s hoped sport will be returning to Kingswood Parks playing field next Summer following a meeting between local councillors and the Football Association to discuss plans.

The green space (managed by Hull City Council) has been closed since work took place on the expansion of the neighbouring Kingswood Parks Primary School, but all that is hopefully about to change.

The field is to be flattened and re-seeded with pitches marked on it, all due to be completed in time for the start of the new football season next summer. Councillor Mark Bisbey said: “It’s not a safe area to play on at the moment, in terms of the potholes and the surface generally. We’ have spoken to an FA groundsman about what needs to be done and now we are focused on getting the fields back open and in use.”
