Still the best place to live in Hull

Just over 20 years ago, building work started on an area of land which now attracts high numbers of house buyers and is home to thousands of families, as well as being named the best place to live in Hull.

The rapidly-developing Kingswood Parks development has become a shopping destination and a thriving family-focused community in its own right, meaning people now don’t have to go far for their everyday needs.

The new flagship Next store is expected to be built by Christmas 2016, and will further complement the fact that local residents do not have to venture far to do their shopping, with the retail outlets at Kingswood also attracting shoppers from the East Riding villages.

Francesca Burke, of Beal Homes explains: “Kingswood is becoming the sought after area to live in Hull. It’s the amenities, fantastic value for money housing and the help of the government’s help-to-buy scheme, which is driving people to buy a house here. People now don’t even have to leave Kingswood to go shopping.”

Beal Homes has also seen a few instances of people from other parts of the country wanting more for their money and relocating to Kingswood. Francesca said: “If people are not from the Kingswood area, they are blown away by the house prices and the good value for money properties.

“When you speak to people about their reasons for moving to the area, many have mentioned the new Next store which is being built, the City of Culture title is getting people excited and even the Siemens contract is bringing people to the city because of the prospect of jobs.”

Kingswood Parks offers a range of housing from one bedroom apartments and semi-detached houses to three-storey homes and luxury five bedroom properties.

With hundreds more houses to be built in the next few years, by nationally-renowned housebuilders such as Beal Homes, Persimmon and Charles Church, Kingswood Parks continues to be the best place to live in Hull.
