Kingswood Health Centre open from October 14th, 2009
Residents in Kingswood Parks can now register at the new state-of-the-art Kingswood Health Centre.
The £2.5m facility started on site in January this year and is now opening its doors to the public. The Voice has been busy finding out everything you need to know about taking advantage of this 1,232 square metre development that is just around the corner…
How to register
The new health centre will include a GP practice run by the Haxby Group, a successful company based in York, which will also be providing services in new health centres on Priory Road and in Orchard Park.
- Visit www.haxbygrouphull.co.uk and click on "how to register" – you can fill in a form online to express your interest in joining the surgery
- The easiest way to register is to go into the health centre from October 14th onwards

New roads have been opened up to allow access to the Kingswood Health Centre, please see the map below to find your best route either by vehicle or on foot.
How to make an appointment
- Patients at the Kingswood Health Centre can request to be seen at any of Haxby Group’s surgeries, including Kingswood, Orchard Park and Priory Road
- Appointments can be made in person at the surgery, by telephone or online if you are over the age of 16 and have registered for this service at reception
- You must be a registered patient to book an appointment at the health centre
What services can I access at the new health centre?
- Haxby Group GP practice
- Pain management
- Community gynaecology
- Ear, nose and throat/audiology
- Neurology
- Mental health
Haxby Group will take up the entire ground floor initially with other services being developed on the first floor by NHS Hull, the city’s primary care trust, including:
- Diabetic services from November 2009 onwards
- A midwife will be based there
- Other services are still being confirmed
