Website feedback

In the first issue of the Kingswood Parks Voice, our community newsletter, we asked you to submit your feedback and questions via our website. Please find below a summary of the feedback raised and our responses.

Why does the Voice only focus on news about the area adjacent to the Asda complex?

The Voice is produced by the Kingswood Parks Development Company (KPDC), which purely manages land within the boundary. The newsletter is distributed to homes further afield, as we feel that many of the news items are of interest to those living in the surrounding area.

Why isn’t there a direct road link between into the Kingswood Parks development from other housing developments?

To access Kingswood Parks from other developments, there is a footpath that can be used by cutting through Blackwater Way or Kesteven Way, which leads to Matalan. In the longer term a road link is planned, but the timing of this is not yet known – please see Page 9 for the Kingswood Parks masterplan.

What is being done to look after the wildlife in the area?

We are working closely with ecologists and the wildlife trust to ensure wildlife-related issues are treated as a priority.

One reader brought to our attention the fact that Kingswood Parks is home to hundreds of House Martin birds and that they are in need of more mud nests. We are committed to ensuring the Ings Plantation woodland and wildlife habitat is preserved and enhanced, as well as other habitats being planned. Further details about the wildlife areas we are developing will be published in future editions of the Voice.

We look forward to receiving further feedback from you in the coming months.
